Bio
Born
in February of 1965 in Oklahoma City, our family moved to Heavener
in 1966. My Father was the Head Football Coach and my Mother
was a Business Teacher. I have one brother (ralph Jr.)
I graduated with honors from Heavener High School in 1983.
FOOTBALL - I was selected to the All-Southwest Times Football Team
& All-District Football Team as a Offensive Lineman.
BASKETBALL - I was selected to the All-Conference Basketball Team
as a Center. BASEBALL ( 1st Baseman )- I was selected to the
All- County Team as a
Senior, I was named as All-State Honorable Mention as a
Junior and a Senior. I went to College at CASC from 1983-85
and played baseball. I finished up at NSU were I played on
the Varsity Golf Team, where we won the Conference Title in 1987.
I did my Intern Teaching here at Poteau in the Fall of 1987.
I Graduated at the break and worked at CASC as a Trainer for the
Men's Basketball Team, Assistant Basketball Coach for the Lady
Vikings and a Assistant Coach for the Viking Baseball Team.
I went to Texas (Prosper) in 1988 to be the Defensive Coordinator
for the Eagles Football team, Head Junior High Girls
Basketball Coach and the Head Baseball Coach. I came back to
Oklahoma in 1989 and found work as a Recreational Supervisor at
the Jim E Hamilton Correctional Center (then called Ouachita).
I found myself on the Poteau Sidelines for the next 11 years
working with the Pirate Coaching Staff as a Volunteer Coach,
helping out where ever I could. I married my wife Brenda in
June of 1992. We have 2 children - Aneisha (17) and Jenna
(12), which both go to school here at Poteau. I was hired to
Coach Football here at Poteau in the fall of 1999. Since
then I also coach 7th Grade Football, 7th & 8th Grade Boys
Basketball, 6th Grade Track and this will be my 6th year as
the Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach. I Teach a Computer Class (
Web Design), I have 2 Physical Education Classes and I supervise
the Detention Hall at the Middle School.
