Students were challenged to explore Canada's geographical diversity and hone their research skills as they created these "maple" poems(See Pictures Below). They were to use their research to write poems on the construction paper cut in in the shape of a maple leaf using the following directions:
Student Directions:
Line 1:Write the name of a province or territory.
Line 2:Write the names of two of its native animals.
Line 3:Write the names of three of its agricultural products.
Line 4:Write the names of four of its cities or towns.
Line 5:Write the names of three of its natural resources.
Line 6:Write the names of two bodies of water in of bordering it.
Line 7:Write the name of its capital city.
